What We Do

Over 4,100 times Community Ambulance Association of Ambler (CAAA) responded to emergency calls for help in 2018. CAAA began serving in 1941 and currently responds to 9-1-1 dispatched calls for emergency medical care in Ambler Borough and the Townships of Lower Gwynedd, Springfield and portions of Upper Dublin Township. Service is also provided for all emergencies taking place between the Mid-County tolls and the Willow Grove toll by agreement with the PA Turnpike Commission. CAAA provides Advanced Life Support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year. Advanced Life Support, or ALS, requires a licensed Paramedic and can include vital sign monitoring, advanced drug intervention, cardiac monitoring, oxygen and IV treatment.

Who We Are

CAAA is an independent nonprofit with the mission of providing emergency medical care. As a nonprofit, CAAA relies on voluntary support from donors, businesses, individuals and municipalities in addition to fees charged for services to provide the staff, ambulances, medical equipment and training needed on a daily basis. CAAA does not benefit from a dedicated tax, and hosts an annual membership drive each fall to support ongoing operations.

More than 2,000 residents and business are members in 2019, and their support is essential to our life-saving mission! Our members receive a 50% reduction in any bills remaining after insurance payments. Memberships are affordable and available at the Individual, Family, Senior Couple and Senior Individual levels.
